I was born at Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh, India) in 1953. My interest in art started in my childhood. I have not received any formal training in art or painting. But, art and painting is my passion.
During initial years, I used to copy the works of great masters. However, soon I moved out of that to create my own works. My favourite mediums are oil, oil pastels, acrylic and collage. I enjoy making quick sketches of people and places in ink or with pencil.
So far, I have held about half a dozen solo exhibitions and have participated in many group shows.
Many of my paintings are in personal and institutional collections in India and abroad.
Presently, I am living in Bhopal, a beautiful city of lakes situated in the heart of India.
